I would like to wish all my readers a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2021. The last year has been a challenge for us all. For some, it has meant facing a future with no financial/job stability, for some others, losing their near and dear ones. For many others,  it has been the loss of independence and freedom that we all took for granted all these years.

I was happy to read the comments some of you sent me and I am glad that my posts helped cheer you up. In some ways, writing this website is therapeutic for me as well. It lets me forget my stresses and just focus on my love for travel and food.

Unfortunately, in the last 2 months I was unable to post anything because I managed to injure my fingers so typing was out till I could recover. This is my first serious attempt at typing after recovery so I want to take this opportunity to thank you for following my posts so diligently and for writing to me. I appreciate your feedback and though I strive to write back to each one you, sometimes it isn't possible. But I promise to make the efforts this year.

I have some interesting posts planned for this year. New recipes from far and beyond, articles on travel that I meant to finish but didn't get down to putting online and of course, what is now my personal favourite section - Guest Features. Not just in travel but also in food and healthy living. I am lining up some experts in the field to cover articles that I know you will find interesting.

Naturally, the focus of my website is to make my experiences accessible to you for free and that will continue. I also want to take a few minutes to remember my dear cousin who passed away late last year after a valiant fight against cancer. A young, competent and respected doctor, a philanthropist, a much-loved husband and proud father who was always around when you needed a helping hand or just a patient ear. It was his idea that I document my travels and culinary journeys so more people could travel and eat virtually with me. He was very encouraging and took great pride in all my achievements, big and small. Naturally I am heart-broken but the one lesson I have learned is to live your life with passion and tell the ones you love just how much you love them daily.

I had kept my sorrow bottled up for all these months but like I said before, when the words flow, they also heal. I am hoping as the days pass, I will be consoled by the fact that I am taking forward what he encouraged me to do - bring a smile to people's faces and to take them around the world, virtually.

Once again, thank you for visiting my website and I can't wait to post my next article.

Regards,

Aajisthaali
